About Irshad Khan — impbiomed.com
ABOUT

I'm Irshad Khan — a biomedical engineer who builds the AI, not just talks about it.

For 20 years I've kept hospital equipment safe, reliable and accreditation-ready. Today I help hospitals go further — using AI I've actually built and deployed in a live clinical setting.

Who I Am

Two decades inside the hospital — not on the outside looking in.

I lead biomedical engineering at a NABH/NABL-accredited multispecialty hospital in Ahmedabad, where I'm responsible for more than 700 medical equipment assets and the compliance that keeps them safe — across NABH, NABL, JCI, AERB and PESO.

That daily, hands-on responsibility is what makes my consultancy different. I don't advise from theory. Every recommendation I give comes from running a real clinical-engineering function, with real patients, real budgets and real assessors on the line.

Through impbiomed, I bring that experience to other hospitals and healthcare businesses — combining clinical engineering with practical, deployed AI.

I'm also a published author on Amazon — my book AI Tools for Healthcare Professionals is available on Kindle, with the Biomedical Intelligence Series following.

What Makes Me Different

A rare combination, in one person

Most consultants offer either clinical engineering or technology. I work fluently in both — which is exactly where the value is.

🩺

A practising engineer

I'm not a retired advisor or a pure consultant. I run a live biomedical department every day, so my advice reflects how hospitals actually work.

🤖

I build real AI

I've deployed a machine-learning model that predicts ventilator failures and a chatbot trained on live ER SOPs — not slideware, working systems.

🛡️

Accreditation in my DNA

NABH, NABL, JCI, AERB and PESO are part of my daily vocabulary, so compliance is built into everything I recommend.

My journey

From keeping equipment running to making it intelligent — a steady deepening of one mission, not a scattering across many.

1

Foundations in biomedical engineering

I built my career on the fundamentals — equipment management, calibration, safety and compliance — earning the trust that comes from keeping critical machines running.

2

Leading a full clinical-engineering function

I took on responsibility for 700+ assets and the accreditation that surrounds them, learning how equipment, risk, cost and compliance connect.

3

Bringing AI into the hospital

I taught myself to build practical AI — predictive-maintenance models and SOP-trained chatbots — and proved their value inside a working hospital.

4

Sharing it through impbiomed

Now I help other hospitals and healthcare businesses do the same: manage equipment smarter, pass accreditation, procure wisely and adopt AI with confidence.

My Mission

Safer equipment, smarter decisions, better patient care.

To help healthcare institutions run their medical technology more safely, reliably and cost-effectively — pairing meticulous engineering with practical AI, so that patient safety is never compromised and not a rupee is wasted on the wrong decision.

What I Stand For

The values behind every engagement

❤️

Patient Safety First

Every piece of equipment is vital to patient care. Its safety and precision come before everything else.

💡

Innovation

I stay at the forefront of technology — including AI — to bring hospitals solutions that genuinely move the needle.

⚖️

Cost-Efficiency

I balance quality with cost, so facilities get high-performance results without overspending.

🤝

Integrity & Accountability

I hold to the highest standards of professionalism — every recommendation is honest, evidence-based and transparent.

Let's make your equipment work smarter
